New Hope Manor in Barryville, NY is hiring an Assistant Executive Director to join our team! This position is sign-on bonus eligible!

Shift: Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, some evenings required.

The Assistant Executive Director assists the Executive Director in ensuring that New Hope Manor fulfills its vision, mission and goals as approved by the Board of Directors and articulated in its organizational documents.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists with program development and implementation
  • Ensure that the New Hope Manor’s plans, policies, and procedures are consistent with its goals and in compliance with OASAS and other requirements
  • Assists with operation of the facility in a manner that are compliant with audits conducted by OASAS and when audits take place, implement, and incorporate OASAS recommendations
  • Promotes New Hope Manor
  • Participates in interview process of potential new staff members and assists with payroll
  • Acting Executive Director in Executive Director’s absence
  • Acts as custodian of New Hope Manor’s organizational, legal, administrative, commercial, and personnel documents
  • Ensures that New Hope Manor’s documents are properly filed and secured, readily available for research, audit, and as needed for other purposes
  • Acts as supervisor to non-clinical department heads
  • Supervises healthcare Coordinator and nursing staff
  • Ensures that secretarial, transportation, food services, and maintenance staff are performing their jobs satisfactorily
  • Serves on Friends of New Hope Board as staff representative and attends meetings
  • Serves on New Hope Manor Board of Directors and attends meetings


  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • QHP strongly preferred
  • 3 years clinical experience in SUD setting strong preferred
  • Computer skills a must including word processing, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred
