are located in a large house in Poughkeepsie, NY. Poughkeepsie is a small city.  The house is typical with bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, living room and staff quarters.  There is a fenced back yard that has a garden.





are located in in Sullivan County, NY in a rural setting overlooking the Delaware River.  The facility accommodates up to 53 women and 12 children.  It has bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, a large dining room, kitchen, offices, a computer lab, a medical suite, group spaces, living spaces, and a laundry.  It has a built-in pool, tennis court, and large grounds. We try to create an atmosphere conducive to personal growth and development, where everyone feels safe.  Clients may not have contact with substance abusers. Termination of treatment may occur immediately for use or possession of mood altering substances, physical violence, sexual activity, stealing or refusing to participate in one’s own recovery.  Here are our basic house rules and policies:


  1. Discussion in groups are held in the strictest confidence.

  2. Clients may not curse or use street language.

  3. Clients must stay on the grounds unless they have permission to leave.

  4. No smoking is permitted.

  5. Good personal hygiene is expected from everyone.  A neat appearance and adherence to the dress code is required.

  6. Rooms must be kept neat and clean. No food is permitted in rooms.

  7. Packages and mail may not be accepted from visitors.

  8. Only family members have mail, phone and visiting privileges.  Clients must avoid people having difficulty with substance abuse including family members.

Reintegration Services...


  1. Clients that are not court mandated who are receiving Temporary Assistance and/or Medicaid (or in need of assistance) must contact their local Department of Social Services Drug & Alcohol Substance Abuse Assessors to get prior approval for out-of-county treatment. We must receive a letter that the potential client is approved to come to New Hope Manor. Mandated clients from Westchester & Dutchess Counties also need to be approved prior to admission.

  2. Potential clients who need Temporary Assistance to cover the cost of treatment, must file an application with their county of residence prior to admission & have pre-approval for admission into the program.

  3. Payment to cover the cost of treatment is covered by Temporary Assistance, SSI, SSDI & Sliding Scale Fee.

  4. Potential clients must have insurance and/or Medicaid to cover medical costs from outside providers. ---Private insurance must be accepted by providers in the Barryville, Port Jervis or Monticello, N.Y. areas.

  5. Residents of New York City should be referred to the Residential Treatment Service Center (RTSC) located at 109 E. 16th Street, Manhattan, N.Y., for an evaluation & referral. The NYC Human Resources Administration will not cover treatment programs outside of the five boroughs at this time.
